Benzema is a good striker, not a great one, not as they say here "crack".
My opinion is that he was badly advised to go to RM as he would have been better served to develop his game at a big club in Serie A or PL that would give him time to adjust and develop his skills which does not happen at RM especially considering the money that they laid out to get him, then when he has proved his talents and is more mature, can then go the RM and adapt quicker, now the pressure is on him to succeed and if he is not bringing in the money via marketing, Perez will let him go, maybe not this season but maybe in 2011
Do not forget there is a giant leap in terms of quality from the french league to PL, Serie A and La liga

Kun Aguero is 21 and he will be better than Villa and in my opinion is ALREADY better than Benzema and he can be the best if he moves to Manchester United! Come On Fergie ...SIGN KUN UP!

i don't understand the logic behind this move, Benzema is young only 22, David Villa on the other hand he is 28. you have on one hand a young striker who can p;lay for 8 or 9 years with a young team. where Villa can only play for 3-4 years tops. so in my view, stick with young striker and let this young team flourish for once.

I know he will be intermitent this season given his need to adjust, but after watching the fabulous Valencia v Madrid match and Benzema's performance, selling him would be folly of monstrous proportions.

Do you think Arsenal would be interested? Wenger is on record on saying that he would have liked to sign him from Lyon.

I cant see benzema being sold, if he is then it would be the wrong decision. i am a big fan of villa but he only has a couple years at the top, he'll be 28 next year benzema 22. with benzema and higuain the same age you have the chance for two great forwards to be together for a long time. benzema was finding it hard to learn spanish but i heard in his last press confrence the jounalists asked him to say something in spanish which he obliged and recieved applause for it. given enough time benzema will succeed

I have always trusted your judgement on football transfers- most especially on La liga but, do you suppose after the bruised ego of last summer when Benzema opted for the Benabeu instead of Old Trafford; do you think Sir Alex will still be interested plus the fact that Dzeko, Villa are all available on the market

If you had asked me last summer if I'd prefer to buy a raw Benzema or a seasoned Villa, I would have taken Villa in a heartbeat. I would still be tempted with Villa because he is extraordinary and would adapt immediately to RM. But RM need to give Benzema time. The talent is there, he needs time to let it surface. Not too long ago we were commenting about the possibility of Higuain packing his bags...I know I am repeating myself but here it is again: TIME.
