Hi guys , these are fair points you make.
i agree that english players need to get a chance but
the foreign players have just got more quality.
i also think that the youngers players at UTD and Arsenal
are much better than the guys at Liverpool...
Liverpool are lagging behind these two teams.
Can someone tell me why do most creative players that
come to Liverpool (during Rafa;s reign) seem to lose
that once they come to Anfield... i have a theory,
i think that like the italians ,Rafa's attention to tactical detail
makes players lose thier creatiivity.. Players need a certain amount of freedom, yet saying that with the players rafa has he does very well.. "never question Rafa!" ;-)

hi,i dnt quite agree about pacheco..u say he will stuggle in epl bt i feel his technical ability will make a success in liverpool.Lauri dalla valle, Pacheco, Bruna and Nemeth are the attacking future of the club.Insua will eventually make it as will darby(hopefully).El-zhar will be at best a bitpart player and plessis might be a dominant force in midfield but id rather have spearing...Lucas need to be more consistent,he is a talent(in senior Brazil team already)...

Hi Guillem, ive just read ur article on Liverpool's youngsters. I agree with you that Lucas strugles with the pace of the premiership. I believe Jay Spearing should be given the chance as he is an all action type of midfielder, he was Liverpool's best player against Man city in the reserve team match tonight. Liverpool havn't had a local player come through the ranks for a number of years which is something that all Liverpool fans are aware of.

Nice to read your thoughts Guillem. I\'m quite a big fan of our reserve players, and I go to watch them whenever they play at home (my local town). I have to say Nemeth looks a cut above the rest, he may not be the biggest, but he\'s deceivingly strong, and he seems to think that little bit quicker than everybody else. I hope once he regains fitness, that he can have a part to play in the first team, because in the F.A and Carling cups, he could really impress. Not sure if you\'ll answer this, but how do you see San Jose going? he seems to be brilliant in every department apart from physically, he seems a little weak when compared to PL defenders. Will he last or end up in Spain like Roque?

  HI Guillem
Some good comments. I would agree that Liverpool's second string is very limited. Lucas is not up to scratch for Premiership. I am concerned that English born players are being sold and put out on loan. Where is the next Gerrard or Carragher going to come from ? Would a young Carragher be given a chance today ? I think not. My concern is Rafa can only seem to see foreign players and is not giving the encouragement to English or even better scouse born players. I have lost count on the number he has shipped out and now we have many overseas players without a back bone of English born players. Jay Spearing and Darby, I fear will go like the rest eventually. Why are we replacing them with mediocraty like Lucus etc ?
