Welcome to the official Guillem Balague website. Guillem is an award-winning Football Author, Journalist & Presenter who works regularly for BBC Radio 5 Live, LaLiga TV and Spanish newspaper Sport. Many of you may also know him from his previous role at Sky Sports, where he was a key fixture of their Spanish football coverage for over 20 years, known for his regular appearances on Sky Sports News, TV Show "Revista de La Liga”, his punditry work and being the goto man for anything relating to the Spanish transfer market.

Established in 1959, Biggleswade United FC is a Bedfordshire-based Community Club, playing in the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.

In 2014, Guillem was invited by their then chairman, Chris Lewis, to become the Director of Football, and Guillem has never looked back.

Guillem went on to be appointed chairman of the club in 2018 and then, in one of the club’s proudest days, Biggleswade United became the only club in the area to be granted FA Charter Community Club status. Guillem described this as “unquestionably the best thing to have happened since I began my involvement with this wonderful club”.
